PROJECTS
Chinese Language Immersion
We believe Chinese language acquisition should be accessible and responsive to every learner's needs. Recognising the unique linguistic profile of ethnic minority children in Hong Kong, we launched our Chinese Language Immersion project in September 2022. Through music, storytelling, and play, children explore Chinese vocabulary in a natural, engaging way. The project has since welcomed Early Childhood Education and Linguistics students from the Education University of Hong Kong, enriching the experience for learners and future educators alike.
Project Nimto
'Nimto' is a Nepalese term meaning "invitation" — and that spirit is at the heart of this project. Project Nimto supports the inclusion and visibility of neurodiverse youth through community partnerships, creating access to vocational opportunities for youth and young adults.
United Steps
Each year in April, Kriti Children’s Centre welcomes Autism Awareness Month with “United Steps”, a campaign that advocates for Inclusion. Witnessing a collective of children, families, and community representatives alongside 80 individuals on The Peak Trail, we’re motivated to take this initiative further.
Kriti’s Voice
कृतिको आवाज
As a Resolve Foundation “Opportunity Fund” Grantee, KCC produced an animated video capturing the journey of a girl named “Kriti” to raise awareness on Autism. The video aims to embrace differences and encourage inclusion. Click on any of the pictures below to watch the video and let us know your thoughts on our social media!
Exhibitions
As a Reggio-inspired learning space, we hold children’s creations in high regard. Our first exhibition included a variety of work inspired by letters, numbers, and shapes.
Mother’s Circle
Mother’s Circle is a space for open conversations, mutual support, and recreation for Nepalese mothers. These intentional monthly gatherings provide a space for mothers to breathe, laugh, share, and rediscover themselves amidst the beautiful chaos of parenting.
Bhamara Press
An initiative dedicated to children’s right to literacy. Our first Nepali book, “जनवारहरू के गर्दैछन्?” features majestic animals in the mighty jungle.
