ABOUT US

What began as a 3-year youth-led voluntary initiative serving the ethnically diverse community uncovered an urgent reality: a rising number of children requiring Special Education Needs (SEN) support, faced rising numbers, limited awareness, social stigma around neurodiversity, and a severe lack of accessible resources across both public and private sectors.

Taking a leap of faith, the volunteers founded Kriti Children's Centre for Learning and Development. 'Kriti' draws from Latin and Sanskrit roots, meaning to create something from nothing’ Officially recognised as a charity in 2022, Kriti has since supported over 250 families in Hong Kong. Today, the centre serves 40 children aged one and above — around 30% diagnosed with or suspected of having SEN — alongside a growing network of 100 SEN families.

Kriti Children’s Centre For Learning and Development (以下簡稱 「KCC」)。

Approach

We value each unique child, and collaborative partnership with home.

We’re an inclusive learning space, Reggio-inspired, and guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Our programmes emphasise:

  • Children’s rights to an active role in their learning.

  • Multiple ways of expression and inquiry through play and art.

(The Early Years Foundation Stage)為指導方針。
